What TayoPo is
TayoPo is a personal expense tracker and money planner for Filipinos in the Gulf, with a community board and deals. You write down your own money: what you have, what you spend, what you save and who owes whom. TayoPo shows it back to you clearly. That is all it does with money.
Think of TayoPo as a digital notebook for your money. Like a paper notebook, it helps you see and plan, but it cannot touch, move or grow the money itself.
Not a bank or money service
TayoPo does not provide any banking, payment or money service. In particular, TayoPo is not:
- A bank, finance company or financial institution of any kind. It does not take deposits or open bank accounts.
- A wallet, e-money, stored value or prepaid card service. It does not store money, issue cards or hold a balance for you.
- A payment service or payment processor. It does not move money between people or pay bills for you.
- A money transfer, remittance or padala service. It does not send money to the Philippines or anywhere else.
- A money exchange or exchange house. It does not buy, sell or convert currencies, and the rates in the app are the ones you type in.
- An escrow or deposit holder. It does not hold money for rooms, items, pasabuy or any deal between users.
- A bill payment, salary or payroll service.
- A tax, accounting or bookkeeping service. Its records are not official accounts and are not accepted for tax or audit.
Not credit, loans or debt collection
- TayoPo is not a lender. It does not give loans, salary advances, credit, “buy now, pay later” or instalments, and does not charge interest.
- TayoPo is not a debt collector. It does not chase, collect or enforce any utang.
- TayoPo is not a credit bureau. It does not check, score or report anyone’s credit, and your records are never shared with banks or lenders.
- TayoPo is not a pawnshop or guarantor, and does not guarantee anyone’s debts or payments.
Not investment, savings or crypto
- TayoPo is not an investment, trading or brokerage service. It does not invest your money or offer returns, shares, funds, gold or property.
- TayoPo is not a savings account or savings plan. Uwi Fund and other goals only track money you keep in your own accounts; there is no interest or profit.
- TayoPo is not an insurance or pension product.
- TayoPo has nothing to do with cryptocurrency, tokens or digital assets, and does not buy, sell, hold or promote them.
- TayoPo is not crowdfunding, fundraising, a cooperative or a pooled fund.
Not a lottery or gambling
- TayoPo has no lottery, raffle, betting, casino or gambling of any kind, and no prizes for money.
- The paluwagan draw is only a fair way to pick the order in which members take their turn. Nobody pays to enter it, nobody wins extra money, and every member receives the same pot they paid into.
- The daily streak is a habit reminder. It has no prizes, points or cash value.
- TayoPo has no rewards points, cashback or referral money, and no multi-level marketing.
We never take your money
- The only payment TayoPo ever receives is for a business listing, and it is always made through Google Play or the App Store.
- TayoPo never asks you to send money by bank transfer, remittance, cash, crypto, gift cards or any other way.
- TayoPo never asks for your bank login, card number, PIN, CVV or one-time password (OTP).
- TayoPo does not connect to your bank, card or wallet, and cannot see or move the money in them.
What each money tool really does
- Accounts: a list of your own cash, bank and e-wallet balances that you type in. TayoPo does not connect to your bank.
- Entries and budgets: records of spending and income that you add, and limits you set for yourself.
- Padala: a record of what you sent home through your own remittance provider, shown in pesos at the rate you choose. It is not a live exchange rate.
- Uwi Fund: a goal tracker. The money you “add” is a note of what you set aside in your own account; TayoPo holds nothing.
- Utang: a personal note of money you gave or took. It is not a loan contract, proof of debt or a collection service.
- Paluwagan: a record of who paid each round and a draw to decide the order. Members pay each other directly, outside TayoPo.
- Partner sharing: lets someone you trust see your records. It does not give them access to your money.
Not an agent for anything else
- Flights and tours: TayoPo is not a travel agency or airline. Bookings are made with partners. See our Affiliate disclosure.
- Shop coupons: TayoPo is not the shop and does not sell the products.
- Bedspace: TayoPo is not a landlord, real estate broker or agent.
- Pasabuy: TayoPo is not a courier, cargo or shipping company and does not carry anything.
- Preloved: TayoPo is not the seller or buyer and does not hold payment for items.
- Businesses: TayoPo lists businesses but does not run them or guarantee their services.
- Jobs and visas: TayoPo is not a recruitment, employment or visa agency.
Your records are informal
Everything you record in TayoPo, including utang, paluwagan rounds, padala and balances, is an informal personal record to help you remember and plan. It is not a contract, receipt, proof of payment, proof of debt or bank statement, and it is not legally binding. TayoPo cannot check whether what users enter is true or complete.
No advice
Totals, charts, savings rates, tips and messages in TayoPo are general information based only on what you enter. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal or immigration advice. For decisions about your money, speak to a licensed adviser.
Licences and regulation
Because TayoPo does not provide financial, payment, remittance, lending or exchange services, it is not licensed or supervised as a financial institution by the Central Bank of the UAE or any other financial regulator. If you use a bank, exchange house or remittance company, choose one that is licensed where you live.
Who we never work with
We do not show, promote or accept partners, ads we choose or business listings for: lotteries, gambling or betting; cryptocurrency or trading schemes; unlicensed money transfer, exchange, lending or investment; pyramid or multi-level marketing; or anything else that is illegal where our users live. Ads served automatically by our advertising partner follow its own policies; if you see one that looks wrong, tell us.
Protect yourself from scams
- TayoPo will never ask you to send money to us or to anyone, and never asks for your bank, card or OTP details.
- Anyone in TayoPo offering to send money home for you, exchange currency, give loans, sell lottery tickets, sell crypto, promise investment returns, or get you a job or visa for a fee is not TayoPo. Please report them.
- “Double your money”, “guaranteed profit” and “you won a prize, pay a fee to claim it” are always scams.
- Never pay a deposit to someone you cannot verify. Meet in public and check rooms and items before paying.
- If someone claims to be from TayoPo, check with us at info@tayopo.com before you do anything.
